A live Balatro run

Chat plays along.

Spend channel points, earn chat coins and vote. Every one of them lands in the real run, on stream.

What viewers see

Everything chat does shows up inside the game itself, on top of the real run. There is nothing to install and nothing extra to watch: this is the stream.

Balatro mid-blind. A banner reads dicegoblin redeemed: Extra Hand, +1 hand. A panel on the right shows chat voting on which cards to play, with a countdown and the Chaos Meter at 72 percent.
A redeemed effect gets a banner with the viewer's name and what happened. On the right, chat is voting which cards to play, and the Chaos Meter fills as effects land.
The Balatro shop during Democracy Mode. A ribbon across the top counts down the mode. A banner reads maple_moth redeemed: Clearance Sale. A panel on the right lists the shop choices with live vote counts, a Clearance Sale timer and the Chaos Meter.
Democracy Mode: chat votes on every shop decision, with live vote counts and a countdown. Running effects, like a Clearance Sale, get their own timers.

How it works

Balatro is a poker roguelike. The streamer plays it, and you get to mess with the run, help it, or take it over. Everything happens inside the real game.

  1. 1

    Pick your way in

Spend channel points on a Balatro: reward, or chat to earn coins and use !buy. No points? Coins are free for everybody.

  2. 2

    The game picks the moment

Effects wait for a safe moment. Packs open in the shop, hand tricks happen while the streamer is choosing cards, and nothing fires in the middle of an animation.

  3. 3

    Watch it land

Your name appears on stream. If the game cannot do what you asked, your channel points are refunded automatically and coins go back to your balance.

Ways to play along

Pick whatever fits your mood, from a tiny nudge to full control of the run.

Channel point rewards

Dozens of effects: free money, extra hands, free Mega packs, a blindfold that flips every card face down, a clearance sale, a Negative joker. If one fails, you get your points back.

Jimbucks (chat coins)

Earn them by chatting, claim a !daily streak bonus, gamble, and gift to friends. Subscribers earn double. Spend them with !buy. Free for everyone. How the coin shop works.

Chaos Roulette

Chat votes between three random effects with !1 !2 !3. Whatever wins, happens.

Chat Takes the Wheel

Chat decides which cards the streamer plays or discards: !play 1 3 5 or !discard 2 4. Numbers go left to right.

Democracy Mode

For a few minutes chat plays Balatro itself. You vote on the blind, the shop, the packs and every hand while the streamer keeps their hands off the keyboard.

Boss predictions

Every boss blind opens a Twitch Prediction: will they beat it, or does the run end here? Bet your points.

Hype trains and Happy Hour

When a hype train starts, chaos is free for everyone. During Happy Hour coins pay double and the coin shop costs half.

The Chaos Meter

Every redemption fills it and time drains it. Fill it to 100 percent and the whole chat triggers a Chaos Storm. Subs, bits, gift subs and raids drop their own rewards into the run too.

Every reward, every price

This list is generated from the game mod, so it matches what is on stream. pts means channel points and coins means chat coins. Some effects are coin-only, and a few big ones are unlocked by the streamer.

Chat commands

Type these in the stream chat. Anyone can use them.

!gamble <coins or all>Double or nothing, roughly a 47 percent chance. Table limit is 500.
!give @user <coins>Gift coins to another chatter.

!play 1 3 5 !discard 2 4Vote which cards to play or discard when chat has the wheel.

Democracy Mode

When Democracy starts, a banner appears and chat is in charge. Each phase of the game opens a vote lasting about 20 seconds, and the most votes wins.

  1. 1

    The blind

Play it or skip it for a tag. Boss blinds cannot be skipped. Vote with the number, or !skip.

  2. 2

    The shop

Every affordable item is a numbered option, plus !reroll, selling a joker, and !leave. A new vote opens after each purchase until chat leaves.

  3. 3

    Booster packs

Vote for the card to pick, or !skip. Tarots that need targets get random ones, and that is half the fun.

  4. 4

    The hand

Choose cards to play or discard, like !play 2 3 4 5 6. Only voters on the winning side pick the cards, so one stray vote cannot hijack the hand.

If nobody votes, chat gets a safe default (play the blind, leave the shop, skip the pack) so the game keeps moving. Effects and polls keep working while Democracy runs.

Coins and titles

Chat coins are free for everyone. Chat every minute or so to earn them, claim !daily, or convert channel points with the 100 Jimbucks reward. Subscribers earn 2x and VIPs 1.5x. Titles unlock on their own and show up in !rank.

FAQ

What if my reward does not work?

Then it never costs you. If the game cannot apply it, or it never gets a legal moment, your channel points are refunded automatically and coins go back to your balance.

Why has my pack not opened yet?

Packs only open where the game normally opens them: the shop and the blind-select screen. If the streamer is mid-blind, yours waits and opens as soon as they reach one. After ten minutes without a chance you are refunded.

Why can I not trigger the same thing twice in a row?

Every effect has a cooldown, and there is a limit on how much chaos lands per minute. The streamer can also switch effects off or pause everything with one click.

Will this ruin the run?

Possibly, and that is the entertainment. Some effects help (free packs, Boss Break, level-ups), some hurt (Tax Man, Blind Surge, Suit Curse), and some are pure chaos. The streamer decides what is on the menu.

How do the boss predictions work?

When a boss blind starts, a Twitch Prediction opens automatically asking whether they will beat it. It resolves the moment the round is won (Yes) or the run ends (No).

Does my message show on stream?

The Shout and Jimbo Says rewards show what you type inside the game. Letters, numbers and punctuation work, but the game font cannot draw emoji. Anything abusive gets removed and can get you banned.

What do you do with my data?

Very little. Read the privacy policy and the terms of use.
